Thanks to everyone that has shown interest in AJO through over this difficult year.
The band has persevered, on and off throughout the year dealing, as we all have had to, with isolation, cancellations and postponement.
It feels more important now than ever to reach out a little and let you know what we are up to.
Auckland Jazz Orchestra is joining forces with NZ soul divas Annie Crummer, Esther Stephens, Bella Kalolo and Aaradhna, to pay tribute to the queen of soul, Aretha Franklin, in the 2017 Auckland Arts Festival.
The AJO was in the studio this weekend, recording new material for an album to be released early next year. Stay tuned.
